THE BOLT BABES ERA

“Most people assume Bolt Babes was named for lightning; something edgy, fast, or electric.

But the truth is softer. And stronger.

When my daughter Hannah was little, she was obsessed with the movie Bolt.  She was about 4 years old and watched it so often I could recite it line for line.  It became our movie; always playing in the background of our little life together.

Bolt is about a dog who believes he has superpowers because of the TV show he stars in.  When he gets separated from the world he knows, he travels across the country to get back to the person he loves most.  And along the way, he learns something important:

He learned his power didn’t come from what he thought made him special.

It was trust.

Loyalty.

Courage.

And discovering who you are when no one is watching.

That message stayed with me.

When I created Bolt Babes, I wanted every woman who walked into my space to feel that same truth… that you don’t need to perform, pretend, or play a role to be powerful.

Your real power is already in you.

You don’t need superpowers.

You are the POWER.

Hannah has always been my inspiration, my why, my heart walking around outside my body.  Naming this brand after something she loved felt right.  It felt full-circle.  It felt like home.

Every chain in the Bolt Babes collection is named with intention , with meaning, thought, and heart.  Nothing is random.  Nothing is chosen just because it’s trendy. 

Each name is meant to make you feel something.

Maybe the chain you choose is calling you for a reason.

Maybe it’s a reminder of who you are…

or who you’re becoming.

Bolt Babes will always stand for loyalty, courage, and the kind of inner strength you never have to fake.

Rebecca is the founder behind Bolt Babes and the owner of Lash Dolls Milwaukee, an award winning beauty studio she launched in 2017.

She is the kind of woman who turns ideas into businesses and clients into community.  What started as a love for beauty and entrepreneurship grew into multiple thriving brands rooted in connection, intention, and experience.

More than anything, Rebecca cares about how people feel in her spaces.

She has always believed in the “y’all means all” mindset. Inclusivity is not a trend to her. It is a standard.

Her spaces are built on kindness, respect, and good energy only. There is no room for mean girl culture here.

Rebecca believes everyone deserves to feel welcome, seen, and celebrated. No matter your background, your style, or your story, you belong.

Bolt Babes is and always will be a safe space for self expression, confidence, and showing up exactly as you are.

Rebecca believes the little details matter, whether it is a lash set, a welded bracelet, or a moment someone never forgets.  Because sometimes the smallest things become the most meaningful.

Alex, is Rebecca’s right hand and a huge part of the heart behind Bolt Babes.

What started as ride or die energy quickly turned into a true partnership in building and growing this evolving brand.

Alex plays a big role behind the scenes with community outreach, collaborations, and partnerships, helping Bolt Babes connect with the people and spaces that make Milwaukee special.

She is also a dynamic and creative permanent jewelry artist who brings great energy to every appointment and pop up.

Alex will be leading our upcoming engraving studio, and we could not be more excited for what she is bringing to this next chapter of Bolt Babes.

As a mom of three girls, Alex understands what it means to bring strength, hope, confidence, and presence to women and little girls. She believes in lifting others up and creating spaces where people feel seen and supported.

Her creativity, warmth, and passion for people make her a natural fit for the Bolt Babes experience.

Rebecca also uses her beautiful Third Ward studio as a space to bring people together.  From events and collaborations to hosting like minded makers, beauty professionals, and artists, her goal is always connection and meaningful experiences.

She loves creating space for creativity, self expression, and community. Whether it is a pop up, a gathering, or a collaboration, her focus is on supporting others, sharing energy, and building something bigger together.

For Rebecca, it has never been just about business. It is about impact, empowerment, and creating spaces where people feel inspired and supported.
